For the Farmer
The owners and employees of Alliance Tractor announce the introduction of the New Holland Boomer 8N tractor. The Boomer 8N is a replica of the original 8N introduced in 1947 and nicknamed “Red Belly” due to the dark red color of its cast iron chassis.
“We are very happy to have received a Boomer 8N from New Holland,” said Tim Garwood, general manager of Alliance Tractor. The 8N is a Limited Edition Model and it is the latest addition to the New Holland line of Boomer tractors. We are fascinated by the distinctive and timeless styling that is reflected in this redesigned 8N, while at the same time offering features like a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) along with a MFD front axle. We invite the farmers and ranchers in the area to stop in and see this exciting new tractor,” Garwood added.
Garwood went on to recall, “You know we had auto steering back in 1952. One day I drove by Haig Hagibara’s place and he had two 8N Fords with cultivators mounted on the back. He had one traveling by itself and he followed it on the other 8N. When he got close to the end he would speed up and catch the one without an operator, turn it around and head it back down the row. The 8N had narrow front tires that fit in the ditch between rows, and the flexibility of the three-point hitch made it possible for Haig to do this.”
Mike Hudson, sales manager, pointed out that in addition to the features listed above, the Boomer 8N is also equipped with a 50 horsepower diesel engine, mid-mount pto, deluxe 3-point hitch with a 2800 lb. lift capacity and telescoping stabilizers and flexible link ends for easy attachment of implements. Mike also mentioned that the operator will enjoy the comfort of a padded soft foam seat and controls that are easy to reach. Hudson said that with the Boomer’s size, CVT transmission and power steering, it would make an ideal loader tractor. He mentioned that Alliance Tractor has a loader on hand. When asked what he like the best about the Boomer 8N, Mike said, “That’s easy. It’s a tractor that’s fun to drive.”
The new Boomer 8N is now on display at Alliance Tractor. The 8N is the 11th model in the Boomer compact line. Like the 8N, all Boomer tractors are known for their top-of-the-line appearance, ease of use, innovation, power, maneuverability and value.
